How to Prepare an Effective ASO Keyword Ranking Plan?

Before we go for ASO keyword ranking plan, here are some minimum recommended criteria for keyword installs campaigns to be on safer side:-

  • Your app should be getting 250 installs per day from target country.
  • Your app should have total 5K downloads or more.

Basic keyword details we need to prepare an effective ASO keyword ranking plan:-

  • Target Keyword
  • Score of the target Keyword 
  • Keyword Rank of the app in target country.

 

Under Standing Keyword Score:-

  • Keyword Score is basically the difficulty level (or difficulty score) of the keyword to rank an app due to the level of competition.
  • Keyword is an numerical value on a scale of 0 to 100
  • If Keyword Score 30 to 40 or more then difficulty is high 
  • High Score indicates High Competition

 

Thumb Rules to Prepare an Effective ASO Keyword Ranking Plan:-

  • Check the no. of install app is getting per day from target country - Let's call it "DI" (Daily Installs)
  • Check the difficulty score of the target keyword.
  • If keyword difficulty score is more than 50, then completion is high and hence risk is high. We better recommend targeting a keyword which is easier to rank.
  • Keyword rank of the app in target country.
  • We will run keyword install campaign for at least 7 days.
  • Daily keyword installs should not be fix, it should be varying to make it look natural.
  • Day1 starts with 50-60 installs generally, then increasing gradually from Day1 to Day5 then decreasing gradually till Day7.
  • Day5 is the peak and no. of keyword installs should be nearby to DI.
